Project Manager / Estimator

We are currently looking for Project Managers to complement our growing team of Restoration Professionals. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing all Restoration Group activities on all claims to which they are appointed, ensuring that the Restoration Group customer service reputation is always maintained.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all aspects of emergency and restoration claims (scoping, sketching, estimating, coordination of resources, communication with insured and adjuster, etc. )
  • Ensuring the estimate timelines are met
  • Educating the client on the process of repair, the timing of service delivery and realistic expectations.
  • Prepares accurate job costing and estimation, ensuring target margins are met.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to insurance stakeholders, homeowners, and property managers.
  • Providing leadership in Health and Safety, by ensuring the company health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Being proactive in resolving customer service issues.
  • Inspecting progress and work quality throughout the project lifespan.
  • Generating new leads through relationships with adjusters and property managers.

The ability to manage several projects at any given time, with a continuous focus on financial results, will be key to your success.

In addition, it IS Required that the individual needs to possess the following:

  • 3-5 years experience managing construction or renovation projects
  • 2+ years working directly within the Emergency and Restoration industry (insurance)
  • Exceptional networking skills
  • Positive reputation within the marketplace for getting results
  • Proven ability to manage, coach and mentor crew
  • RequiredXactimate and Xactanalysis, Exceptional software skills – MS Office suite

Project Manager Assistant

Responsibilities :

  • Assist Project Manager with the successful full cycle of assigned projects; from initiation to completion, including receipt of payment
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and uploaded into internal and external claims systems
  • Assist Project Manager with customer communication and interactions
  • Ensure work authorization, completion certificates and all other required documents are obtained from client
  • Ensure work order tasks and purchase orders are completed and uploaded in a timely manner
  • Invoicing is completed accurately in line with client protocols
  • Support and manage outstanding receivables

Qualification and Requirements :

  • Post-secondary education and / or administrative training is an asset
  • Advanced skills with MS Office 2007+ (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet Browsers. Knowledge of Xactimate software is an asset

Job Description

What happens after an emergency situation leaves a business or residence in need of repair? Can you keep your calm when those in need are counting on you?

We are now hiring Restoration Technicians who are passionate about using their skills to improve our clients’ job sites after a disaster has struck.

The Restoration Technician will respond to emergency situations involving damage caused by water, fire, flood, soot, storm, mold, or trauma, as well as other emergency situations in homes and businesses.

The technician will be tasked with recording incidents, assisting in the claims process, and returning damaged areas to their previous status.

  • Performing restoration activities, including demolition, cleaning, emergency flood service, restorative drying, fire and smoke damage cleaning and deodorization, content cleaning, pack-out and storage and other specialized cleaning.

Position Summary:

The Carpenter/ Drywall Installer/ Painter works under the general direction of the Operations Manager to plan and organize the assignments of a project in order to meet the gross Profit and timeline goals.

The Carpenter/ Drywall Installer/ Painter oversees laborers assigned to them ensuring that the quality standards of the company are being met and has knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of residential & commercial buildings, and other structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows all company health and safety policies and procedures and ensures that they are respected by all personnel and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrates skill in the safe operation of shop tools
  • Strives to continually improve through specific development plans.
  • Accepts direction from the Construction Manager & Project Manager.
  • Coaches and assists laborers with all job tasks.
  • Practices good housekeeping discipline on the job to ensure a safe, non-cluttered workplace and to minimize cross contamination.
  • Adheres to company policy and standards at customer sites
  • Completes assignments on time and within budget.

Education and Experience:

  • College Diploma or certification in a recognized construction/carpentry course preferred.

Knowledge and skill set:

  • Knowledge of basic shop mathematics to calculate metric conversions and materials needed for jobs.

  • Skilled at measuring, cutting, fitting and fastening the drywall panels; skilled taper/finisher of drywall panels.
  • Able to complete finishing process after installation by filling joints and imperfections.
  • Able to solve basic arithmetic problems quickly and accurately.
  • Able to identify and estimate the quantity of materials needed to complete a job.
  • Accurately estimate length of time and cost of a job.
  • Skilled in surface preparation and application of a range of finishes.
  • Capable of industrial-scale jobs, such as office buildings.
  • Capable of working with potentially hazardous substances and application of associated protective measures.
